A language is a method of communication, not a way to fulfill white desires. The television and movie industry in America is dominated by white men who often portray ethnic minorities from a white point of view. Specifically, Latin American women in the American mainstream media are exoticised and hypersexualized.

We adjusted models for the corresponding baseline measure and covariates to obtain AORs and adjusted mean differences. We also computed the 95% confidence interval and the corresponding P value. We computed percentage relative change for continuous variables as the difference between the adjusted means for each condition divided by the adjusted mean for the comparison condition.
